A very fine camping site in beautiful surroundings and nice staff.
They are not very international and it seams that target guests are germans. We stayed at a very busy time where the camping site had many visitors, so in that scenario the kids playground was little too small. Also there was some issues with toilet paper, soap and towels missing. But the small issues we experienced was overshadowed by the good vibes and beautiful camping spot. We would recommend this site and we would definitely choose this site again, if we find ourselves in that area.
Surprisingly large, but still nice and quiet camping site. Very reasonable price. Good, clean toilets and showers. Best play ground for children that we have yet seen. Wood heated sauna available! Public swimming pool right next door, you get discount from the tickets. Good hiking routes near by. We stayed over a week and can highly recommend.
Location is stunning, camp fields very nice laid out. Owners could be more ‘into’ the campsite and their guests. Next to public Freibad which is lovely. No need to stay longer then a week as you need to travel for most sights you want to see from the campsite!
Beautiful campsite, one of the best I've stayed on in Germany. Site is in very pretty location, very close to the village of Nauberg. There is an open air swimming pool just outside the campsite. Toilets and showers are modern and immaculately clean. Showers are free. Campsite has near level pitches arranged in groups on terraces. We had plenty of room in June but when full I imagine that units would be quite close together. There are a couple of places to eat and drink in Nauberg and a fair size supermarket close to the entrence to the site. Hosts speak a little English and are very friendly. There is a bar on site that sells drinks and food but is only open at weekends off season. Make sure you get an ACSI card, off season with card was 20 Euro for caravan 2 adults and electricity.
We called in advance to make sure we could arrive later today since we didn't know how long the reception would stay open. It was no problem and we could just come over to get a place. There was nobody there and nobody answered the phone when we called upon arriving. So we did not get a place as promised sadly
we have enjoyed 5 holidays at this lovely campsite, staying in a static caravan, the scenery and wildlife are spectacular, staff are very helpful , the village is really pretty and has everything you would need. it is a short drive away from edersee dam, as seen on the film Dam busters, lots to do for children and adults, in the surrounding area.city of Kassel, just a short drive away.
we are going again this year, as we still have so much to see and do there, Germany is a beautiful place and would highly recommend a visit.
Probably the best camping in Germany. We found this place superb in level of service, especially when you compare to the price. All services are close by and there is good swimming place only 100m away. Great!
We inly stoped here for one night o our way from England to Latvia, and we really enjoyed it! It was clean, tidy, shops were close, outdoor swimming, helpful staff and friendly campers. We are hooing to return.
